Rotary Flag at The Lincolnshire ShowThe first District 1270 stand has been erected and Rotary's flags are now flying at The Lincolnshire Show.

The District 1270 stand can be found on Row C, Seventh Avenue at Pitch 341.  Visitors to the stand will be able to speak with active Rotarians from throughout District 1270 as well as experience some of the more diverse aspects of each Rotarian's life.

Visitors to the Show who are fortunate enough to be around our stand at Lunchtime will benefit from a Chinese Cookery demonstration from Rotarian Harry Wu where he will undoubtedly dazzle.

For those who enjoy the appeal of engines and engineering, we have a Rally-spec Subaru Imprezza which has been used with some success to help Rotary raise funds for the Rotary Foundation.

The inside of the District 1270 standPreparations for the show started in earnest on Monday when the Rotary Club of Woodhall Spa arrived at the Showground to erect the substantial tent.  Today, Tuesday, has seen input from the Rotary Clubs of Lincoln, Wortley, Hull Paragon and Brigg as well as the Rotaract Club of Scunthorpe and Brigg and the result is a welcoming and well-decked out stand.

There is a comprehensive timetable which will accommodate the needs of Group Study Exchange, LifeStraw, The Rotaract Club of Scunthorpe and Brigg and the Rotary Clubs of Hornsea, Brigg, Hull, Cleethorpes, Woodhall Spa, Lincoln, Lincoln Colonia, Lincoln Bailgate and (hopefully) Spilsby.

BBC Radio Lincolnshire has already paid the stand a visit and we'll hopefully be attracting them back tomorrow AND Thursday for some more entertainment and hospitality, courtesy of District 1270.

Anyone wanting more information about the presence at the show can contact us at the show through this website.

REMEMBER - Anyone can help us to help those less fortunate - just text ROTARY followed by your name to 60999 and we'll be able to change someone's life for ever. Each text costs £1.25 plus your normal network charge.  Rotary will receive £1.00 from each message.
