Betsy, Florimond and RomainDistrict 1270's stand at the Lincolnshire Show proved to be a hub of international meetings on the second day.  As well as a visit from a visitor from Colombia who was staying in the UK following the GSE visits of 2008, we were pleased to welcome Betsy Yost, Assistant District Governor from District 5520.  Betsy had been to the International Convention and was enjoying a friendship exchange in District 1270.

Betsy is pictured talking to Florimond Voreux and Romain Navet , both aged 20, who are currently on workplacements in Hull.  Their workplacements have been arranged through the RC of Hull Paragon and their twinned club - RC Lille.  Florimond is on placement at The Deep courtesy of a Hull Paragon Rotarian and Romain is working at Envirodoors courtesy of a Humberside Rotarian.  Whilst this is not a specified Rotary project it shows how the fellowship and friendship at an international level can provide so many opportunities for so many others in our local communities.

The stand team were also pleased to welcome GSE 2009 Team Members - Rachel Shaw and Jason Hippisley to the stand.  Both were at the show for professional reasons.  Jason, Editor of the Market Rasen Mail as a member of the Press and Rachel as Publicity Officer for the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
