Stand opens for businessRotary Flags were visible from most of the showground which was extremely important as the primary information and lost property point in the show.

But this was only part of the stand's activities..  On the second anniversary of the 2007 floods, Rotary D1270 was proud to announce that over £750,000 has been given to local communities that suffered.  The projects supported had been those that were sustainable and particularly geared towards the young people who were affected by the floods.

Representatives from the RC of Cleethorpes were promoting lifestraw and shelterbox.  However, they are not limiting themselves to promoting on the Rotary stand.  They took themselves off to the schools section and in the second photo you can see Keith and Geoff demonstrating Lifestraw to Trent Valley School.  Pupils had previously been to the stand.Lifestraw goes to school

Two local projects were also being profiled this year.  Lincs with India and The Nepal Trust both of which are well supported by the Rc's of Lincoln Colonia and Alford & Mablethorpe.  Both these projects that focus on working with young children in remote areas where education is not readily available.
