Finalists announced for the Lincolnshire Environmental Awards |

The organisers of the Lincolnshire Environmental Award, namely the Rotary Club of Lindum Lincoln and the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust are pleased to announce the finalists for this prestigious award. All the finalists will make presentations to the panel of judges in the afternoon of Thursday 11 June. Winners in each category and the overall winner will be announced during the evening presentation dinner at which the guest speaker is Professor David Bellamy. The finalists are: Business:* The Gelder Group - Greentech Management Services (waste treatment centre) & Environmental Project - developing an ecological reserve adjacent to offices in Sturton by Stow * Centrica Energy - enhancing and creating wildlife habitats including grasslands and ponds at the South Humberbank Power Station site, Stallingborough. Agricultural and Rural Enterprise:* Bleak House Farm, Mablethorpe * Association of Drainage Authorities and the Wildlife Conservation Partnership - Barn Owl Project Individual:* Roger Brownlow - increasing biodiversity through woodland management and reversion of arable land to grassland, Sturton-by-Stow. * Leslie Dean - management of ponds and woodland areas for wildlife, Lincoln. Community* Nettleham Woodland Trust - tree planting and woodland creation at PC Wood, Lincolnshire Police Headquarters and Monks Wood near Dunholme. * The Burgh Angling Club - Farlesthorpe Nature Reserve and Lake
