Cheque presentation

In June 2008 EYG Joint MD, Nick Ward and Sales Director, John Waugh not only ran the Humber Bridge Half Marathon but also managed to obtain sponsorship from their EYG colleagues, family and friends.  They enjoyed it so much that they have generously agreed to run the Half Marathon again next year but in the light of this year's experience, they will start their training much earlier!

The picture shows Nick and John presenting the East Yorkshire Glazing (EYG) 2008 Humber Bridge Half Marathon cheque for £2535 to Cheryl Barratt, Community Fund Raising Manager, Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Speaking on behalf of the Rotary Club of Hull, John Cumming thanked Nick and John and all the EYG employees for their active support for this year's Humber Bridge Half Marathon and said that early indications were that it would raise a recod sum of money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and other local charities.

A date for your diary:  The 10th Anniversary Humber Bridge Half Marathon and Family Fun Run will take place on Sunday 14th June 2009.  Visit www.humber-half.org.uk
