Team winnersPictured is  John Morris, President of the Rotary Club of Hull presenting the Pearson Park Hotel Corporate Trophies to the 2008 Humber Bridge Half Marathon Team from C. Spencer Ltd. at their office in the Waters Edge Visitors’ Centre, Barton on Humber.

The C Spencer Ltd Team comprised (left to right):

Stuart Thomas, Tony Hopkins, Mark Padley, Chris Tofton, Mike Leitch, Louise Cobb and Kim Coupe (missing due to ill health).

Also present  are Barton Rotarians Stuart Leyland, David and Wendy Witter OBE, and Hull Rotarian John McCann.

This is the fourth year of participation by the C. Spencer Team in this premier local charity running event.  The main beneficiary of the 2008 race will be the Marie Curie Cancer Care Nurses and early indications are that a record sum has been raised.

President John Morris thanked the C. Spencer Ltd employees for their active participation and also paid tribute to the enthusiastic and invaluable support which the members of the Rotary Club of Barton on Humber gave to the Humber Bridge Half Marathon.
