In 2006-07 the Rotarians in District 1270 raised a magificent £23,000 for the Wheelchair Foundation the first container of 280 chairs was delivered to Kitwe in District 9210 Zambia in December 2006.

The wheelchairs have all been distributed, with the smaller ones going to various childrens homes.

A delighted President of the Kitwe Rotary club, Larry Mapani, has send greetings and thanks for District 1270's generosity.

A second container of 110 wheelchairs will arrive in Zambia soon.
