 As you will probably know we met Chrissy as arranged. Just a few hiccups. 3 members of our club and a grandson, 1 member of St George's, Steve and Roni were on the platform in our yellow tabards for the arrival of both the 11.11 and the 11.22! We almost lost the press photographer because British Rail informed us we should have obtained a permission to be there and take photographs 3 days in advance! They did relent however. Then at the crucial moment when Chrissie got off the train she had to conduct a telephone interview with Radio Humberside which delayed the welcome for several minutes and of course the train had departed. Nevertheless the photographer did take some pics on the platform - albeit minus the train. Who said the course of public relations always runs true! - Photos to follow.Bas starts his journey home Monday lunchtime.
