Isobel arrived back in the UK late on Tuesday evening and was back at home in the East Riding by 3am on Wednesday morning where she was permitted to sleep until 9am and no later.
The reason - she had to be on hand for a press call at a moment's notice. The wheels were in motion and at lunchtime she was called by BBC Look North who wanted to interview her at 4pm that day. They arrived at her home where she was filmed for about an hour talking about the journey to Marrakech, team bonding and talking to Bas via mobile phone
as he was making his way through the Western Sahara. On Thursday she was making plans with Radio Humberside with a view to being interviewed by Phil White on the daily drive time programme and then on Saturday morning as you can see from the second photo she spent a good 7 minutes being interviewed by Helen Philipot on the Philpot Files. It was a very bouyant interview in which she described the journey, team bonding and even Ian's now flattened mohekan hair style. It was a difficult interview in terms of geting the Rotary plug but Isobel did not let us down when it came to mentioning the Rotary welcome waiting in Freetown for the Trailblazers. She is scheduled back in the Studio next weekend to give the next update.
