AlbiFriday 7th was the first outing for the Hull Freedom Trail vehicle in September.  It appeared at The Deep as a welcome to the Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Albi who were visiting the Rotary Club of Beverley with whom they are twinned.

Whilst waiting to take this photo the vehicle pulled crowds from visitors who had been to The Deep and who wanted to know more about the whole expedition.Isobel

Due to prior commitments, Isobel a member of the Beverley Club and one of the Rotary drivers was not available for the team photo.

We therefore snapped her at the end of the evening.  Will she really do the looking this glamorous?

This was beginning of what will be a very busy month for Rotarians in District 1270.

The Rotary Vehicle is now kitted out for the journey and is being sign written w/c 10 September.  It will be presented to the Rotary drivers, Bas and Isobel on Friday 14th September.  Unfortunately Chrissy is not able to be with them at this momentus occasion.  It's first duty will be on 14th when it will be escorting a sponsored cycle ride taking place east of Hull which is in aid of the Hull Freedom Trail.

On 15th September it will then be going to the Rotary Club Howden who sponsor the Music Festival that is taking place all week.

Beverley Club will be exhibiting the vehicle on Sunday 16th at a cycle ride and then returning it to Howden until Thursday when it will be taken to Scarborough for the District Conference.

For further dates of where the vehicle is scheduled to appear please refer to the events diary.
