Loaded upShelterbox have supported the Hull Freedom Trail by donating 6 Shelterboxes with sleeping bags, mosquito nets, water containers and many other essentials, together 12 jerry cans and 24 childrens day packs.

The donated boxes are not from the numbered stock and have therefore been donated directly by Shelterbox itself.  As you can see from the Shelterboxesphotos Tom Henderson was there himself to help with the loading up.

The equipment collected will provide the essential survival kit for each vehicle during the 4,500 mile trip and once in Sierra Leone will be given to the aid agencies for continued use for those in need.Sample Image

The District PRO took the Hull Freedom Trail vehicle down to Shelterbox to collect the items in mid August.  All but 2 of the boxes were loaded up on the day and driven back to Hull for storage until the team go in October.

ContentsDistrict 1270 are very grateful for the support of Shelterbox especially when they are so busy responding to the many requests.  In fact, it was whilst the boxes were being collected that Tom received the call asking for boxes to go to Peru following the earthquake.
