The first July visit that the vehicle made was on 1st July at the District Handover at Harry Kar's Restaurant in Brigg. This was the first time that many of the District Officers and their partners had seen the Hull Freedom Trail vehicle.
On Sunday 8 July, the Hull Freedom Trail Vehicle was on show again in Lincolnshire - at Market Rasen for the International Committee's fund raising barbecue. Inspired by the purpose of the Hull Freedom Trail, the chair Ray Pearson and his committee considered it to be a worthy recipient of the funds raised.
Suprisingly or not as the case may be this month's public outings for the Hull Freedom Trail vehicle are dominated by rain and yet more rain! The Howden Show was no exception but spirits were not dampened and liveried out with Rotary Wheels and new Rotary Club of Howden signage the Hull Freedom Trail vehicle was the first exhibit that visitors coming through the South Gate saw. Once again it attracted press attention ensuring that Rotary Clubs in District 1270 are benefitting from an enhanced public profile. On Monday 16th July the Hull Freedom Vehicle paid an impromptu visit to The Deep Business Centre where RIBI President Allan Jagger attended a meeting of key participants in preliminary planning of Rotary aid to the flood disaster areas within District 1270 (see separate articles) Photos awaited for Gainsborough on 21 July.
