A Press Release circulated to radio, television, monthly and daily print together with advance telephone calls achieved the desired effect. This was then re-inforced with visits to the media stands. On the Thursday, Bas and two of the Young Trailblazers, Kayla and Nick were interviewed live by BBC Radio Lincolnshire for about 4-5 mins. This was a new experience for the youngsters who were extremely nervous. However, with support and guidance from District 1270 PRO and the stalwart interviewee, Bas, they did very well. The sense of achievement and confidence that they both exuded when they had finished was a pleasure to see.
