It was just as if the tardis had landed in deepest East Yorkshire one Saturday in April when Rotarians and their partners met for dinner. 

The 1960's theme produced some stunning attire from mini-skirts, boots and vidal sasson hairstyles to flower power hippies and a large number of men in large very dark sunglasses!  Music from the Beatles and the Beachboys greeted guests whilst the host served Babycham in vintage glasses to the ladies.

Dinner commenced with Prawn Cocktail, followed by Coq au Vin and Blackforest Gateau and finished with cheese and biscuits all cooked and served by the President's and Secretary's wives.

The evening concluded with a 60's quiz, which proved to be a source of pleasant memories for some and something akin to Brain of Britain to those who were not born or were far too young to remember anything.

All guests paid the full going rate for the dining out with entertainment which was a tremendous success - all proceeds raised going to the Presidents Charity, Cancer Research.
