PAY A POUND FOR PEACE

was officially launched today in Bill's birthplace, Hull, on the first anniversary of his death.

RC of Alford and Mablethorpe are finishing the work that one of their members, Past RI President Bill Huntley started in his presidential year.  (Full details of what the club want to achieve will appear on the website very soon)

The campaign started with RIBI President dropping his donation into a hard hat provided by DG Rolf and together with the RC of Humberside and Guests $92 were raised. 

"The Hat" which turned into a pink and white sports cap then collected approximately $65 at RC Thorne's meeting.

The hat was a Gentleman's Trilby at the weekly lunch meeting for Hull Club where a further $70 were collected.

It is hoped that "The Hat" will be passed between Rotarians throughout the world
