Newsflash

Since 2000 District 1270 have raised funds to send 397 Shelterboxes to overseas disasters.  The total value of this donation is £194,530.  These figures do not include the money and boxes raised the local Inner Wheel clubs or private donations.

 

 
 
Valentine's Ball - 1940's style PDF Print E-mail

Valentines BallRC Grimsby Havelok held a 1940's Valentine Ball on Saturday 10th February at the Wintergardens in Cleethorpes.  This was the last ever dance to be held in the Wintergardens as the building is to be demolished.

Over £1900 was raised for the President's charity, Grimsby Alzheimers. 

Guests enjoyed demonstrations and dancing to the Colin Chamley Big Band.  It was reported as a "fantastic night where the majority entered into the spirit of the night dressed as it would have been in the 1940s"
