The Rotary Clubs of Humberside and Bangalore, India have linked together to support a School in the City of Bangalore which is specifically for Children from the worst possible areas of that city. Over the past three years the Humberside Club has raised funds to support this work, as the School gets no central funding, and with matching support from the Bangalore Club and also Rotary International, several thousand pounds had been given to school.
Two recent presidents of the Humberside Club, Win Sandi and Robin Mason have both visited Bangalore and were extremely impressed with the work being done at the School. This is administered by a Rotarian member of the Bangalore Club, and the children and enthusiastic to learn. As well as the normal educational subjects the school also looks after the needs on a health, educational and social basis for the pupils.
