In response to the request for help from those countries affected by the Tsunami on Boxing Day, Clubs within District 1270 have been extremely quick to respond and extremely generous with their donations. 250 Shelter Boxes have already been despatched to the region and a further 37 Shelter Boxes have been secured by 22 District 1270 Clubs. Graham Wright of the Rotary Club of Sheffield is co-ordinating the effort for the District and Clubs can pledge their support directly through Graham. Any non-Rotarians reading this article can also help raise funds to send Shelter Boxes to the region. Donations can be sent to any one of the Rotary Clubs within District 1270 just contact us for the club nearest you.
