Since the 1940’s, many Rotarians have been using as a criterion in their business, community and personal affairs a simple 24-word statement known as The 4-Way Test.

Recognised as an appropriate message in Vocational Service, it does not provide answers but asks four simple questions. The 4-Way Test of the things we think, say or do is as follows:-

1.  Is it the TRUTH?

2.  Is it FAIR to all concerned?

3.  Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

4.  Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
