Doncaster St Leger supports the National Barnardo's Appeal |

Rotary clubs throughout the country supported the TESCO national collection for BARNARDO’S on Friday and Saturday, 29th and 30th September. BARNARDO’S is one of the preferred charities for RIBI (Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland) fundraising in 2006/06 – a relationship which will involve Rotarians supporting Barnardo’s projects and raising vital funds for the charity’s work with disadvantaged children and young people.
The Rotary Club of Doncaster St Leger collected at TESCO Extra, Balby on 29th/30th Septembe r and thanks to the generosity of the public collected almost £1200. Nationally it is hoped to raise £250,000 at 480 Tesco stores. Roy Elms, President of the Rotary Club of Doncaster St Leger, said ‘We know the money raised will make a difference to the 120,000 disadvantaged young people Barnardo’s supports’.
