Bill Huntley, who sadly passed away in 2006, was a member of the Rotary Club of Alford & Mablethorpe in District 1270 and was only the third person from the UK to become President of Rotary International.  His theme in the year 1994-95 was "Be a Friend".

During his term in office, Bill set up an Endowment Fund within the Rotary Foundation with the intention of funding an annual Rotary Peace Scholarship at Bradford University.  Upon Bill's death, Alford & Mablethorpe is spearheading a campaign to make Bill's vision become a reality, and to activate the Endowment which he set up.
