Preparations for Lincolnshire Show

Packing upPreparations for the Lincolnshire on Wednesday 20 June have already commenced in Bewholme, East Yorkshire. 

Hull Freedom Trail organisers have loaned the first vehicle, aptly named "William Wilberforce" to the Comms Team whilst District 1270's vehicle is prepared with logos and additional kit for the expedition.

This year the stand will have a truly international representation with Shelterbox, Aquabox, Freeplay Radio, Lifestraw and of course, the Hull Freedom Trail vehicle on display.

Coast to Coast Cycle Ride for Wheelchair Foundation

Cycle RideA group of 7 (4 men, 3 women) tackled the 144 mile Sustrans Coast 2 Coast cycle route from Workington in Cumbria Sunderland in Wearside in aid of the Wheelchair foundation. Deciding on going up the night before to get a good nights sleep and an early start was a good idea at the time but we did not expect to be sharing our hotel with a rampant (in every sense of the word) rugby club who kept us entertained in our beds till at least 4,00am! – they were still down with us at breakfast and were playing a match that afternoon – I seem to remember having that sort of stamina once!

Rotary Freedom Vehicle

vehicleThe Comms Team are delighted to announce that sufficient funds have been secured for Rotary to send a Rotary branded vehicle on the Hull Freedom Trail. 

Please watch the website for all updates on progress for sending Rotary drivers, how to have the vehicle for your Rotary event etc.

The images show what the vehicle can look like with the Rotary logo and the website address added.
