Humberside and Bangalore Joint Project

School RoomThe Rotary Clubs of Humberside and Bangalore, India have linked together to support a School in the City of Bangalore which is specifically for Children from the worst possible areas of that city. Over the past three years the Humberside Club has raised funds to support this work, as the School gets no central funding, and with matching support from the Bangalore Club and also Rotary International, several thousand pounds had been given to school.

Fun Quiz at Hull Golf Club on Friday, 24th Nov.

The Rotary Club of Humberside invites you to a FUN QUIZ for foursomes at the Hull Golf Club, Kirkella on Friday, 24th November, 2006, 7.30 for 8pm.  Tickets are £7.50, which buys you a hot buffet dinner.  Dress: smart casual; raffle.

Conkerfest title narrowly taken by the Humberside Club

On Sunday 8th October Rotarians and spouses gathered at the home of Peter and Kate Harrison in Brough for the 2006 Conkerfest.  This year’s contest was organised by last year’s winners, South Cave and Wolds Club. On arrival we discovered that one of the Clubs had dropped out at the last moment, and we were swiftly and efficiently re-organised into three teams under the captaincy of Winston Pannett.  Each club fielded two male teams and one mixed team. We equipped ourselves from a large box of ready-strung conkers and then set forth into battle.
