Beverley Santa's beats record raising £1528
Thursday, 14 December 2006

SantaSanta joined Beverley Rotarians in mid December to help them raise funds for the Candlelighters.

This annual week long event where the club, joined by Santa, tours round Beverley and the surrounding villages is extremely popular with all the young folk.  And this year was no exception.  By the second night over £600 had been donated raising Rotarians hopes of a record this year.  And they were well rewarded for all their hard work walking the streets when, at the end of the week, they counted the all the monies which totalled slightly over £1528.

In this picture the team were just about to travel around the village of Tickton, the night before they had been in Walkington.
