Cleethorpes Rotary Club had their most successful ever carol collection during 8 days in December, raising £6,000 for local charities, with the emphasis on local children's causes. The sleigh was seen outside supermarkets at weekends and some weekdays, and patrolling the streets of Cleethorpes in the evenings. Local residents and children look forward to the Rotary sleigh every year, and are immensely supportive. Every member of the club is involved, and the whole event is great fun and one of the club's highlights. The picture shows Santa with some of the families during the street collection. |

Hampers full of fairly traded fair will add to the festive flavour thanks to the Rotary Club of Horncastle.
As part of a pilot scheme by the club, spearheaded by Community & Vocational Service Committee chairman Margaret Sergeant, a range of five hampers packed with fairtrade goodies is being offered by the club with the help of its own dedicated website.
