Cleethorpes Santa raises £6,000
Written by Simon Kalson (Cleethorpes)
Saturday, 30 December 2006
sANTA RAISES CASHCleethorpes Rotary Club had their most successful ever carol collection during 8 days in December, raising £6,000 for local charities, with the emphasis on local children's causes.  The sleigh was seen outside supermarkets at weekends and some weekdays, and patrolling the streets of Cleethorpes in the evenings.  Local residents and children look forward to the Rotary sleigh every year, and are immensely supportive.  Every member of the club is involved, and the whole event is great fun and one of the club's highlights.  The picture shows Santa with some of the families during the street collection.
